NDTV Profit banks on three new shows

Within the next fortnight, the channel will launch ‘Major Gainz PL’, ‘Profit Palette’ and ‘Reality of Realty’

Three of the hottest things in Indian business are realty, stocks and art. NDTV Profit is using all three to give a boost to its business programming. Within the next fortnight, the channel will launch three shows called ‘Major Gainz PL’, ‘Profit Palette’ and ‘Reality of Realty’.

Talking about the three shows, Shivnath Thukral, managing editor, NDTV Profit, says, “In two years, NDTV Profit has established itself as one of the best business news channels in India by following the philosophy of giving viewers news they can use. These three new shows will provide our viewers insights into key market segments like art, real estate and the stock market.”

‘Profit Palette’, a fortnightly show, will air every Sunday at 11.30 am, starting August 26. The show will explore the investment potential of Indian art. “It will also provide a commentary on the rapidly evolving but largely untapped art market. The show will be a knowledge base for keen investors of art as well as for art connoisseurs,” says Thukral.

‘Major Gainz PL’ will air every alternate Monday at 8.30 pm and Saturday at 1.30 pm. The programme will include a tête-à-tête section with various fund managers, their art of stock picking and a glimpse of which stocks they view as next generation winners. The fund manager of each show will reveal what he likes or dislikes about the Indian markets.

“The show will also discuss management views of the current galloping growth in industry and companies,” says Thukral. The date that this programme will be launched is still to be finalised.

‘Reality of Realty’, as the name suggests, is a programme focusing on real estate. It will present property trends in major metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. It will hold panel discussions on important aspects of real estate like interest rates on house loans and new projects. The show will be aired on Saturdays at 8.30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm, starting August 25.
