Prateek Srivastava now on Ogilvy India board

The head of O&M, South, is now on the Ogilvy India board

Prateek Srivastava, group president, O&M, South India, has now been made a member of the Ogilvy India board. At O&M, South, Srivastava also oversees the Lenovo Worldwide Hub operations for the agency.

Srivastava joined Ogilvy in December 2000 to head the Bangalore operations. Before joining Ogilvy, Srivastava worked for Lowe at Jakarta, Indonesia.

Piyush Pandey, executive chairman and NCD, O&M India, and vice-chairman, O&M, Asia Pacific, says, “This development is a way of recognising Prateek’s excellent and continued contribution to the affairs of the company.” Pandey is chairman of the Ogilvy India board and vice-chairman of the Ogilvy Asia Pacific board.

Srivastava will continue heading the South zone. He was key in setting up the Lenovo initiative in India. He started off his career in advertising with Mudra, Bangalore, in 1990 in the client servicing department. He was with that agency for four years. When he left Mudra in 1994, Srivastava was heading the Bangalore office. From here, he moved to Lowe, Mumbai, in 1995, where his key client was Hindustan Level Ltd, now known as Hindustan Unilever Ltd. After spending three years with Lowe, Mumbai, Srivastava shifted to the agency’s Indonesian office in Jakarta. He was with the agency for another two years before he joined O&M, Bangalore.
