Amrit Rai joins VJIVE Networks as V-P

Amrit Rai

has joined the in-store digital media network company, VJIVE, as vice-president, business development and alliances, media services. She comes from the Indian Express Group, where she was working as assistant vice-president, space marketing. Rai will be based in Mumbai and report to Chandni Jafri, senior vice-president, media services, VJIVE Networks.

Rai says, "Looking at the retail explosion and massive spends on infrastructure projects in the near future, digital OOH advertising is becoming the next big thing in the media industry. It will be a challenging and exciting arena to work in as it will require innovative and effective communication strategies and solutions."

Rai has 17 years' experience in the field of marketing. She started her career in 1990 with the Business India Group. She spent the initial three years of her career there, and then joined the TV18 Group. After working there for a year, she moved to Nimbus India, and worked there for the next two years.

Her next stint was with STAR India, where she spent six years. After STAR, she joined the Indian Express Group and has been there for the last five years.

Chandni Jafri says, "Amrit comes with a wide range of experience across print and television. With her in-depth knowledge and understanding, she will efficiently create and monetise opportunities in the digital OOH medium."
