Devesh Desai joins Everest as CD

Desai was last designated creative director, Lowe, Mumbai

Devesh Desai has joined Everest, Mumbai, as creative director. He comes from Lowe, Mumbai, where also he was designated creative director. He will report to Padmakumar, national creative director, Everest.

Commenting on the appointment, Padmakumar says, “Devesh (Desai) has sharp contemporary ideas and amazing art skills. The quality of work at Everest has already seen a steep rise and Devesh will do his part to take it further up the creative ladder.”

Desai is a JJ School of Arts graduate and has overall experience of 16 years in the field of advertising. He started his career with a Mumbai based advertising agency called Speer in 1990. He spent five years there before he joined a US based agency, Archer/ Malmo, in Memphis. He spent two years with Archer/ Malmo and worked on clients such as NBC Bank, Belz International Malls, the Peabody Hotel and the Pink Palace Museum.

After that, he returned back to India and joined Contract Advertising in Bangalore. He spent four years at Contract, Bangalore, and then shifted to the Mumbai branch of the agency. He spent close to six years in all at Contract. His next stint was with Lowe, Mumbai, which lasted for a year and then he joined Everest.

Some of the brands Desai has worked on recently include Clinic All Clear, Bharat Petroleum, Cadbury’s, Shopper’s Stop and Asian Paints. His work has made it to the final rounds at Cannes, the One Show, and the New York Festivals.
