Ranji Cherian joins Mudra South as senior vice-president; S Radhakrishnan is elevated to president

Mudra has restructured the senior management team at its South branch. The company has appointed Ranji Cherian as senior vice-president for Mudra South and elevated S Radhakrishnan, earlier executive vice-president, to president, Mudra South.

Cherian’s last assignment was with JWT Chennai as vice-president and client services director. At Mudra, he will partner Joono Simon, executive creative director, Mudra South, to consolidate existing business and further develop the business operations in the southern region.

Mudra South’s clients include United Spirits, Madura Garments, TTK Prestige, Henkel, ‘Malayala Manorama’, RmKV, ‘Indian Express’, Paragon, Cycle Agarbattis and LMG Brands.

Cherian is a postgraduate in marketing, and has 15 years of experience in advertising. He has spent most of this time with JWT. In his recent assignment, he was looking after the Ford business, which includes brands such as Fiesta, Ikon, Endeavour, Fusion and Ford Service. Some of the other accounts he has handled in the past include Pepsi South, CavinKare, Parryware and Lifestyle International.

Commenting on the development, Madhukar Kamath, managing director and chief executive officer, Mudra Group, says, “Radhakrishnan has truly been a strong pillar for Mudra South with an excellent track record. In his new role, he will be focused on organisation building, new initiatives and growth for Mudra in the South. Joono Simon and Ranji Cherian are two excellent leaders who will help shape the vision for Mudra South.”

Radhakrishnan remarks, “Mudra South is gearing up for bigger plans. Ranji (Cherian) is an accomplished professional who will partner Joono (Simon) to execute and materialise plans for future growth.”
