Bharti AXA Investment Managers seeks creative agency

The size of the business is pegged to be upwards of Rs 10 crore

Bharti AXA Investment Managers, the asset management company, is on the lookout for a creative agency. The size of the business is pegged to be upwards of Rs 10 crore.

“There are 30-odd fund companies, and our priority is to be different from the rest. In the process, we are looking for a creative partner, and not just an agency which can portray us differently,” says Nanda Kishore Sethuraman, head, marketing, Bharti AXA Investment Managers.

It will be considered a plus point if the agency has prior experience of handling a financial service, but Sethuraman adds quickly, “the interests shouldn’t be conflicting”.

Four agencies are part of the pitch as of now and a fifth agency is soon to be confirmed. Sethuraman declined to name the agencies.

Since the licensing of Bharti AXA Investment managers is still under way, the company will look for a media agency in the first quarter of 2008.

Bharti AXA Investment Managers plans to make healthy use of multimedia and outdoor, including advertisements, billboards and banners. Sethuraman says the Internet will also be tapped effectively.

Bharti AXA Investment Managers is a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and AXA Investment managers (AXA IM) and AXA Asia Pacific Holdings (AXA APH), which was announced in September 2007.
