CVL Srinivas to head SureWaves as CEO

Srinivas, ex-CEO Maxus, Asia Pacific, had quit the company in October, last year. Since then, he has been a media consultant

CVL Srinivas, former CEO, Maxus, Asia Pacific, has announced his next venture post his exit from Maxus. During the interim period, Srinivas was a media consultant. Srinivas will now head SureWaves, a part of Bangalore based IndusEdge Innovations, as CEO.

SureWaves is a media convergence solutions company. It combines television content with web, out of home displays and mobile phones in a unique manner. These solutions are being targeted at organisations in sectors such as retail, retail banking, transport, hospitality, healthcare and government projects, where a customised communication channel is beneficial. SureWaves is also positioned to partner existing out-of-home display networks by creating a network of networks using its unique solutions, and driving higher levels of viewer engagement.

The company has been founded by Rajendra Khare, ex-MD Broadcom India and the founder chairman, Indian Semiconductor Association (ISA), along with Ravi Bhatt, ex-head, Nokia’s R&D center and co-founders of Amber Networks, Anant Kansal and Tapan Datta. Tushar Vyas, who was head of GroupM India’s digital division has also joined as vice-president, business solutions. A few more senior professionals from GroupM – Sanchit Sanga, Rajendra Dwivedi and Prabhvir Sahmey, have joined the company.

SureWaves has developed its cutting edge in partnership with Plasmanet, UK, in order to distribute content and advertising onto a range of remote display screens, in real time. This content can be any combination of live or recorded television, internet feeds, flash files, powerpoint or any internal communication material of an organization. On his latest venture, Srinvas comments, “This is a nascent medium around the world. Like in any medium, driving viewer engagement is the key to success. We believe that we have the right technology combined with a good understanding of how such media get consumed. We are open to partnering existing networks to help them realise higher revenues via our more engaging solution.”
