Motwani, director, marketing, has put in her papers at General Motors (GM). She has been with GM since December 2004. Before that, she was working as head of Euro RSCG Delhi.

After spending around 15 years in advertising and then moving to the automobile industry, Motwani now plans to try out a completely new sector. agencyfaqs! has learnt from sources that Motwani plans to join Max New York Life (MNYL) after she works out her notice at GM. She will join the company as senior vice-president, marketing, and report to Debashis Sarkar, director, marketing, product management and corporate affairs. She is likely to join MNYL in December.

This is Motwani's first brush with the insurance industry, but it is her second stint on the client's side; GM was the first one. However, she had worked with automobile company clients while she was still in advertising. For instance, while she was with Mudra Communications (1993-2000), she handled brands such as Mitsubishi Lancer and Ambassador. In fact, she was part of the team that created the communication that elevated Mitsubishi Lancer's brand image.

No senior executive or Motwani could be contacted to confirm the news. Besides Euro RSCG and Mudra, Motwani has worked with Leo Burnett, McCann-Erickson and Clarion (Bates).
