has joined Samsung as India head for its mobile business. Dutt will be responsible for the sales and marketing functions for both the GSM and CDMA mobile business. He moves in from Nokia, where he was sales director.

Dutt has experience of 23 years in the field of business development and marketing. A management postgraduate, he started his career with Philips in 1984 as a management trainee. After spending eight years with the company, he left as product marketing manager for special products. In 1993, Dutt joined Wipro's new lighting business as branch manager for the North (Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh) and set up the business from scratch.
