Channel launched, Rajat Nigam quits BAG

Nigam was also looking after the operational responsibilities of Radio Dhamaal

With News24 having been launched and three more channels from BAG Films and Media Ltd ready for takeoff, the company’s six month old director of operations, Rajat Nigam, has put in his papers. Nigam was also looking after the operational responsibilities of Radio Dhamaal.

Nigam was working with Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Ltd as deputy general manager for operations and marketing before he joined BAG Films six months ago. His future course of action was not ascertainable at the time of filing this report.

Confirming the development, BAG Films managing director Anurradha Prasad says, “He (Nigam) was hired to put all the technology in place for all our channels. Now, everything is functional or about to start (both television channels and radio stations), he has put in his papers as per the contract.”

Nigam is a broadcast media professional with rich experience of more than 15 years in television. Besides conceptualising and executing TV projects, he has hands on experience of running news and sports channels. He was associated with the coverage of the Olympic Games in Athens, the Asian Games in Korea and Qatar and also with international cricket. He has been largely associated in the concept selling of FM radio for the private sector in India and new technological applications.
