Communications India is looking for an ad agency for HughesNet Fusion. According to sources, Hughes wants to work with a mid-sized agency.
Amit Bajaj, manager, marketing communications, HughesNet Fusion, says, "As we move into our next stages of growth (2007-10), we are looking for a new 'marcom' partner for the entire gamut of marketing communications activities - creative solutions for mass media and below the line, media solutions such as planning and buying, and beyond. The chosen partner will automatically become a preferred vendor for the other divisions of Hughes India for the future."
The size of the business could not be ascertained.
For the record, Hughes is a global leader in providing broadband satellite networks and services for large enterprises, governments, small businesses and consumers. HughesNet Fusion is the consumer broadband division of Hughes India, and has a network of more than 500 retail centres in more than 200 cities and towns across the country.
