Grasshoppers adds two accounts to its kitty

The agency is to look after the communication and brand building activities for Flight Shop, the Indian division of Australian global travel retailer, Flight Centre and International Institute of Financial Markets (IIFM), the educational centre to be launched by Jaypee Capital Services and Jaypee Commodities

Grasshoppers has added two accounts to its kitty. Flight Shop and International Institute of Financial Markets (IIFM) are the two new businesses on which the agency shall be working on.

Flight Shop, the Indian division of Australian global travel retailer, Flight Centre opened up its first leisure travel shop in Saket, Delhi in December 2007. At the time of setting up shop, an outdoor campaign showcasing the mascot of Flight Centre – the captain. The second opened up in DLF Cyber City, Gurgaon last month. Apart from outdoor, with heavy emphasis on below-the-line activities, print and online advertising have also been undertaken for the brand. This month, the company plans to open an outlet in Rajouri Garden, and take the count to six by next month. The company is targeting a set-up of 26 stores by the end of this year. The company also runs a corporate travel business FCm Travel Solutions. For Flight Shop, Grasshoppers is taking care of the entire communication plan, including creative and media duties for the brand.

Gaurav Luthra, who is heading the Flight Shop division in India, says, “Grasshoppers’ consistent performance over the years has built our trust in the agency. We expect the Grasshoppers magic to work wonders for our luxury travel stores as well.”

IIFM, a venture of Indian corporate brokerage house, Jaypee Capital Services and Jaypee Commodities is soon to be launched. Grasshoppers has been roped in for its entire brand communication campaign. The agency has been involved since the very beginning of the project, which includes designing the logo and baseline and initial tasks of building the brand. Post launch, the agency is to take care of the communication and media activities. “The innovative marketing strategies and vivid ideas suggested by Grasshoppers for the institutes' brand and image building as well as the long-standing association of the agency with several leading names in the education sector were the deciding factors in finalizing the deal,” says Pranav Bhatia, CEO, IIFM.

Arjun Banerjee, CEO, Grasshoppers, says, “It feels good to be back and how with mass consumer brands after having developed a strong NGO client base for a complete year. The credit definitely goes to our endeavor to do something original which stands out amidst the conventional advertising ideas.” Grasshoppers has executed various pan India projects for its clients such as Population Services International (PSI), Hindustan Latex’s Family Planning division, Parivar Seva Sanstha (PSS), Jaypee Group of Hotels, Honeywell, Tecnova India, Carlson Hotels Worldwide, FCm Travels and others.
