Rohit Mull joins HDFC as executive V-P and head, marketing

Mull has experience of 15 years in the field of advertising and was earlier with Reliance Capital

Rohit Mull, senior vice-president, distribution, at Reliance Capital, which is part of the Reliance ADA Group, has joined HDFC Bank as executive vice-president and head of marketing. He has experience of 15 years in the marketing business.

Mull began his career with Cadbury India as a management trainee in 1992. He has been area sales manager for Northeast, North Bengal and Kolkata at Cadbury at various points of time. He has also done a stint as sales and support manager for the Eastern region while at that company. In addition, he has served as product manager for Perk, Dairy Milk, Dairy Milk Eclairs and moulded products.

In 1998, he joined Coca-Cola India as senior properties manager, movies, music and sports. He has also worked as senior brand manager for Sprite and Limca.

For two years, from 2000 to 2002, Mull held the designation of chief marketing officer at Apnaloan India. He then joined Cadbury India for a second stint in 2003 and was there as branch manager and Western region head for a year. He moved to Tata AIG Life Insurance in February 2004 as vice-president, marketing.

After Tata AIG, Mull joined Reliance ADAG. From April 2006 to August 2007, he was country head, sales and distribution, at Reliance Life Insurance. Then he took up the role of senior vice-president, distribution, at Reliance Capital.
