Praveen Malhotra of Big FM gets a boost up

Malhotra will now oversee integrated sales for all Big businesses as national sales head

Praveen Malhotra, vice-president

for sales and operations head for the North, Big 92.7 FM, has been promoted as national sales head for the integrated sales unit which will be responsible for ad sales for not just Big FM, but also NTR sales and sales of Big Street and Big Digital.

Malhotra will also be responsible for the sales function of any new business unit introduced in the future. The integrated sales unit will take charge of the revenue generation function with immediate effect.

Malhotra started her career in 1992 with The Times of India in the space selling division and, after a successful three year stint, moved on to STAR India in 1995. At STAR India, she handled the complete portfolio of STAR channels and was thus involved in some of the most strategic initiatives undertaken by the organisation.

In 2001, she joined Radio City 91.1 FM as senior vice-president and station head. She was responsible for the entire set-up and management of the Delhi radio station. She also launched Radio City in Lucknow.

Malhotra was next vice-president, business development, at Zenith Optimedia, heading the media buying functions and she has extensive experience across domains such as air-time sales, programming and marketing. She has experience of more than 16 years and is a veteran of the media and entertainment industry.
