A spokesperson from Jindal SAW has confirmed the development. Currently, Jindal SAW is evaluating options to roll out new ventures. It has already bagged some major projects, but it is keeping quiet about these because of some government restrictions.

The agency’s Delhi branch will handle the business. Rupam Ganguly, vice-president, Grey Worldwide India, says, “This is a substantial win for us. We are extremely excited to be associated with the Jindal Group.”

Jindal SAW has a diversified business model. It manufactures large diameter submerged arc welded pipes, spiral pipes and bends for the energy transportation sector. The company recently secured the Cairn Energy contract for supply of pipes covering 600 kilometres, worth $200 million. Jindal SAW also provides value added products and services such as anti-corrosion coatings for pipe and bends, induction bends and connector casings.
