Akash Das joins Publicis Ambience as senior creative director

This is the second time that Das will work with Publicis’ Ashish Khazanchi; earlier, the two worked together at Rediff

Publicis Ambience has brought Akash Das on board as senior creative director. Das was earlier creative director with Rediffusion DY&R. He has 10 years’ experience in advertising.

Das will report to Publicis Ambience’s national creative directors Ashish Khazanchi and Prasanna Sankhe. Confirming the development to agencyfaqs!, Khazanchi says, “Das will work on a particular set of accounts – the allotment of his duties is still in the pipeline.”

This is the second time Das will work with Khazanchi; he had worked with him earlier at Rediff.

Das started his career at Capital Advertising in Delhi in 1999 as a visualiser. He spent a year there, moving as art director to Leo Burnett in 2000. In 2001, he joined O&M Delhi as art director. In 2004, he quit O&M as senior art director to move to Saatchi & Saatchi Delhi. He served there as group creative head for a short period of time. In 2005, he moved to Rediff as associate creative director and went on to become a creative director.

Das has worked on brands such as Tata Sky, DNA (Daily News & Analysis), Indian Oil, Himalayan Mineral Water, Sugarfree, Incredible India, Discovery channel, Motorola, Seagram, Nycil, Mak Lubricants, Hyundai, Electrolux, Business World, Amex and Castle Lager.
