Multimedia has acquired Marwar, a magazine about the glamorous lifestyle of successful people. Marwar has a claimed circulation of more than 50,000 copies and a readership of 330,000. The magazine was earlier published by Arpan Publishing.

Spenta will absorb the Marwar staff into its organisation and take over the publishing of Marwar with immediate effect. The magazine is priced at Rs 150 and it has around 200 pages.

Commenting on the development, Maneck Davar, proprietor, Spenta Multimedia, says, "Spenta has been focusing on the introduction of specialised magazines that fulfil the information and entertainment needs of high profile consumer groups. This strategy is in line with India now being home to the largest number of billionaires in Asia. Marwar is, thus, a strategic addition to the Spenta portfolio."

The acquisition of Marwar takes the number of publications in Spenta's portfolio to 16 custom publications and three newsstand magazines.

Spenta Multimedia provides publishing services and publishes magazines in the travel, lifestyle, business, finance, and retail space. Spenta's newsstand titles include Hair (UK's hair magazine), The Smart Manager and now, Marwar. Its portfolio of custom publications includes Jetwings, Jetwings International, First Update, Imperia, Elite Life, Hello, The Chartered Accountant Journal, @TCS, Apparel, and FSO.
