Dentsu promotes Adrian Mendonza as NCD, Ashish Dabral as COO

Marcom has promoted Adrian Mendonza, executive creative director, as national creative director, and Ashish Dabral, vice-president, as chief operating officer. Mendonza and Dabral will continue to be based in Mumbai.

Mendonza has 20 years of experience in the advertising industry. Prior to Dentsu Marcom, he worked with Rediffusion DY&R as vice-president and executive creative director. Before Rediffusion, he worked with several agencies including Mudra, Forefront and Contract Advertising. He has worked on brands such as Vimal, Rasna, Mother's Recipe, Phillips, Colgate, Airtel, Hindustan Petroleum, Eveready, Citibank, Indian Oil, Maruti, Daikin and Mumbai Unbreakable for the Mumbai Police.

Commenting on Mendonza's elevation, Gullu Sen, chief creative officer, Dentsu India, says, "Adrian (Mendonza) is an inspiring creative leader and I am happy that we have now charged him with the responsibility of leading our creative product nationally at Dentsu Marcom."

Ashish Dabral too has been in advertising for 20 years. In his new role, he will work closely with Rajesh Aggarwal, executive director, Dentsu Marcom. He will be responsible for the overall operations of the agency in spheres such as strategic planning, client servicing, human resources and business development. Prior to Dentsu, Dabral worked a long innings at Contract Advertising.

Rajesh Aggarwal says, "We feel good when internal talent rises within the agency. In times of high attrition, the top deck at Dentsu has remained largely stable."
