Publicis India ropes in Mohit Tomar as CD

Tomar moves here from O&M, where he was associate creative director

With hiring people being its first priority, Publicis India is working hard at getting its creative team right. It has brought in Mohit Tomar to handle the Future Group and Aviva Life Insurance accounts. Tomar moves here from O&M, where he was associate creative director.

In his new role, Tomar will partner Ritu Sharda on art work on the same accounts. He will report to Anindya Banerjee, creative head at the agency’s Delhi branch.

Banerjee says, “Mohit has been trained at some of the best agencies in the industry. We are looking forward to him infusing some great thinking into the brands and lending them a different perspective and freshness.”

Tomar began his career in advertising in 1999 with Meteus Oxygen, an agency which was set up by Ajay Ahluwalia, an ex-Publicis hand. In 2001, he joined Contract as art director. He moved to O&M in 2004. He has worked as a consultant with both agencies. Six months ago, he was designated associate creative director.

In the course of his career, Tomar has worked on brands such as Hindustan, Seagram’s, Hindustan Times, Perfetti, India Tourism, Incredible India, Microsoft, JK Tyres and ABN Amro. At Meteus Oxygen, he worked on the Hyatt Regency account.
