Connecturf appoints Atul Hegde CEO

Hegde has returned to a Euro RSCG group company after spending four years with Vyas Gianetti Creative as chief operating officer

Connecturf, a digital marketing solutions company backed by investments from Euro RSCG, has appointed Atul Hegde as its chief executive officer. Hegde was heading Vyas Gianetti Creative (VGC) as chief operating officer.

Hegde will report to the board of directors of Connecturf. “I will be in charge of Connecturf. My role will be to really grow the company and take it to the next level,” says Hegde.

According to V Ramani, vice-chairman, Connecturf, “It’s a newly created position in the company. Hedge will be involved in managing the daily affairs of the company. I will be helping him in certain areas of business like strategy and development”.

This is the first time that Hegde is joining a digital agency. He has more than 12 years of experience in advertising, and has worked across various departments ranging from client servicing to account planning. He has worked on brands such as Philips, the Aditya Birla Group, Sony Television, BBC Worldwide, HDFC Bank and Air France.

Hegde was part of the team which set up Euro RSCG advertising in India. During his seven year stint with Euro RSCG, he moved up from trainee to vice-president. In 2003, he moved to Vyas Gianetti Creative to head the agency. During his tenure with VGC, he launched VGC Sports, a sports concept firm.
