Maheshwer Peri, president and publisher, Outlook Group, says, “Both these appointments have been made with a view to taking the group forward. Selvaraj and Roy have been with the group long enough to take on new roles and responsibilities… It is a matter of pride for us that these two people have grown from within the ranks to become presidents. I look forward to their continued support.”

Elaborating on the specific roles assigned to both, Peri says, “In their new roles, they have to take on more responsibility in generating profits for the group. Routine chores of a daily nature that I have been doing will now have to be shared by both of them. At the same time, they will continue to pursue their current responsibilities and duties as they are.”

Currently, Selvaraj is in charge of Outlook, Outlook Saptahik and Marie Claire. Roy, who is based in Mumbai, looks after Outlook Money, Outlook Business and Outlook Profit.

Peri adds, “Last year has been a year of tremendous growth for the group. This year will be even bigger as a number of new magazines with national and international tie-ups are being launched.”

The Outlook Group will soon launch People magazine under licence from Time Inc. Earlier, the group had announced the launch of GEO under licence from Gruhner & Jahr, the largest magazine publisher in Europe.
