RMG Connect hires senior people from Tribal DDB

Rajeev Sharma, Kamlesh Mehta, Anis Budye and Zeenia Mehta have moved from Tribal DDB to join RMG Connect

Four senior executives have moved from Tribal DDB, the digital arm of Mudra Advertising, to RMG Connect, JWT’s direct marketing, customer relationship management and digital solutions company.

Rajeev Sharma has joined RMG Connect as vice-president and head of digital, while Kamlesh Mehta has joined as senior creative director, Anis Budye as creative director and Zeenia Mehta as creative supervisor. Sharma’s mandate is to grow the business and evangelise the digital space.

Tribal DDB has seen a lot of churn in recent times. Meera Sharath Chandra moved from Mudra Marketing Services after a two year tenure there as national creative director across the non-traditional media business units, Tribal DDB India (interactive and new media) and Rapp Collins India (direct response and CRM) to join RMG Connect as president and national creative director. The new appointments at RMG Connect are believed to be directly connected to her move.

Chandra speaks about the appointments in an official communiqué and says, “I am going to work with the A team of cyber space – it’s a team I have nurtured and trained personally.”

Michael Maedel, president, JWT Worldwide, says, “We will have the most powerful digital offering in India and are among the leaders worldwide.”

Meanwhile, Manish Sinha has moved from Bates David Enterprise and joined Mudra Marketing Services as senior vice-president. Shoumitra Rai Choudhuri has joined Tribal DDB as executive creative director.
