Ray started his career in 1990 at Rediffusion Delhi. He has worked in different sectors such as consumer durables, FMCG, automotives, telecom and hospitality. The brands he has worked on include Canon, Singer, United Airlines and Airtel. He later moved to McCann-Erickson for a short stint as business head and handled clients such as Nestle (Nescafe), Gillette and Coca-Cola (Fanta and Kinley).

Ray then returned to Rediffusion for a second stint and headed the agency’s Kolkata office. Later, he moved to O&M as head of the Auto Practise Group.

In an official communiqué, Ray said, “Mudra Mumbai is one of Mudra’s flagship offices and already a potent force and in the middle of some unbounded growth – in perception as well as in revenue. My mandate is to work with the team, sustain the momentum and hopefully take the agency to the next level.”

Recently, Mudra was in the news when it revamped its structure and operations to offer both creative and media services under one roof at its Mumbai branch. This was done to facilitate existing clients by providing a one step solution.
