Tyroo figured out that a large number of Indian youth, in the age group of 13-25 years, log on to gaming sites. A large ad inventory, across international gaming sites such as Miniclip.com, UltimateArcade.com and CheatCodes.com, is now available to its clients through the gaming sites. Gaming ad inventory enables advertisers to target four million unique users.
Earlier, Tyroo was routing ads targeting the youth to social networking sitessuch as Orkut and Facebook, which gave low CTR. Click Through rate (CTR) is the number of times an ad is clicked upon by the number of times the ad is served.
Tyroo is expecting 4-5 times higher CTR when the same inventory of ads will be served on gaming sites, as people spend more time on gaming sites than on social networking sites like Orkut.com.
