Webchutney appoints branch heads for Mumbai, Delhi

Digital agency Webchutney has announced the appointment of branch heads for its Mumbai and New Delhi offices. Poornima Rajkumar will head the Mumbai office, while Vikram Sivaramakrishnan will head the Delhi office.

Rajkumar has 10 years of experience in the Internet industry. She was working with Yahoo! earlier on its search business. She has also worked with Rediff.com and Tata Teleservices. Rajkumar will be involved in hiring new people at Webchutney’s Mumbai office and in streamlining the operations there.

Sivaramakrishnan was earlier a business director at McCann-Erickson. He has 10 years of experience in the advertising business. He says, “I spent the last five years working with large brands and have closely seen the anxiety they feel about getting their online strategies right. It’s interesting to be on the other side here at Webchutney and help marketers understand how online can work for them. It is an exciting time to be in this business and I am here to enjoy the ride.”

Commenting on the appointments, Sidharth Rao, chief executive officer, Webchutney, says, “While we are incredibly proud of the work we can create for our clients, the operational prowess of our two new branch heads will put in place a method to our madness.”

Webchutney currently has 150 employees in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. It claims to be growing at 100 per cent year on year.
