Shailja Naqvi to be national programming head of My FM

The radio station hopes to expand further under Naqvi’s expertise and with the help of her creative insights on programming and strategic content planning

Synergy Media Entertainment has appointed Shailja Naqvi national programming head of 94.3 My FM. She will be based in Delhi. Naqvi was earlier national programming head at Dhamaal 24 (BAG Films), where she was responsible for the launch of nine stations under the banner.

Naqvi has more than 12 years of corporate media experience. She has worked with many TV channels and production houses such as India TV, BAG Films and Broadcast Worldwide. She says, “I’m looking forward to my association with My FM because it is a brand that embodies the passion and zeal of the masses. It will be exciting to plan programming for a mass audience along with the challenge of sustaining the local flavour.”

Welcoming Naqvi to the My FM Team, Harrish Bhatia, chief operating officer, Synergy Media Entertainment, says, “My FM is confident that Shailja’s experience and insight of the industry will take it further in terms of the innovative programming that has been the key to My FM’s success.”

MY FM was launched by The Bhaskar Group, one of the largest media groups of the country. Synergy Media Entertainment is a wholly owned company of the The Bhaskar Group. At present MY FM covers 17 cities in seven states.
