Puri will be based in Delhi and focus on redeveloping and re-energising the brand

Pavita Puri has been appointed group branch head for the Indian Express Group. She was earlier working as vice-president with Lowe, where she handled brands such as Maruti and Dish TV. At the Indian Express Group, she will report to Shekhar Gupta, editor-in-chief.

Puri has around 13 years’ experience in the industry. She spent 12 of these at Rediffusion, where, at the end of her stint, she was working as associate vice-president and handling the Airtel account. Last year, she moved to Lowe, where she handled brands such as Maruti and Dish TV.

Commenting on her move, Puri says, “The high voltage competitive media environment mandates that the group re-energise and re-invent its products so as to provide its readers an incisive, relevant world view every morning. I look forward to being a part of this change.”
