Puri will be based in Delhi and focus on redeveloping and re-energising the brand
Pavita Puri has been appointed group branch head for the Indian Express Group. She was earlier working as vice-president with Lowe, where she handled brands such as Maruti and Dish TV. At the Indian Express Group, she will report to Shekhar Gupta, editor-in-chief.
In an official communiqué, Gupta says, “Pavitra joins us at a crucial time when we are making substantial investments in our brands. With her track record, I am sure she will be able to lead and strategise the development of our brands.”
Commenting on her move, Puri says, “The high voltage competitive media environment mandates that the group re-energise and re-invent its products so as to provide its readers an incisive, relevant world view every morning. I look forward to being a part of this change.”
