Entertainment Ventures (JEV), the parent company of Radio Indigo 91.9 FM and The Bengaluru Pages magazine, has just restructured its senior management team.
K Sanjay Prabhu, chief operating officer, Radio Indigo, and publisher, Bengaluru Pages, has been elevated to the position of managing director. He will now bear overall responsibility for the two media brands.
Jayyant Bhokare has been appointed chief operating officer, media, events and contract marketing.
Prabhu says about Bhokare's appointment, "Radio Indigo has always aimed at catering to a distinct, affluent and upmarket audience base, while Bengaluru Pages, we hope, is a qualitative peek into Bangalore. Jayyant's entry into the team will further strengthen our potential and elevate the brands to the next level."
Bhokare says, "With two different verticals, print and radio, JEV offers an advertiser much potential to elevate their campaign reach if integrated well. I look forward to harnessing that."
Bhokare has 14 years' experience in media sales and management, and business development across print, television, radio, digital and outdoor. Prior to joining JEV, he was vice-president, business development, at Adlabs Films, where he developed some business verticals, including Big Street and Big Reach, and worked on international expansion.
He has also worked with STAR India, where he was a part of the Kaun Banega Crorepati sales team, and has served as the national sales head of Radio City, too. Bhokare has worked with Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd and Tata Press as well.
The positioning of these senior business executives is part of JEV's strategy to drive measurable and sustained business growth.
For the record, Radio Indigo, positioned as "the colour of music", is known for playing international music in Bengaluru and Goa. The Bengaluru Pages is publishing arm Azure Media's first publishing venture.
