Anurag Gupta follows Pratap Bose to Mudra

Gupta to integrate the group’s existing businesses and promote a holistic solution to clients

Anurag Gupta will join Mudra as president, strategic initiatives and integration, from July 10. Earlier, he was president, OgilvyAction.

Gupta tells afaqs! that he will be in charge of event, sports, rural and retail marketing. He will work closely with the senior management of the strategic business units in Mudra to integrate solutions and build seamless through-the-line capabilities.

Madhukar Kamath, managing director and chief executive officer, Mudra Group, says, “It’s time for the Mudra Group to build leading brands in the event, sports, rural and retail marketing industries. In addition to venturing into new businesses, Anurag will help deliver through-the-line brand experience capabilities for our key clients.”

Gupta has worked in various agencies such as Lowe, Unilever, Draft Worldwide and OgilvyAction. He has more than 12 years of experience in the marketing and brand management sector and has worked on brands such as Unilever, ICICI Bank, Motorola, Vodafone, Castrol and Nestle. Gupta also played a crucial role in establishing OgilvyAction.

Pratap Bose, O&M’s CEO, moved to Mudra recently as chief operating officer.

In an official communiqué, Gupta says, “Madhukar and Pratap’s ambition and vision for the business is in line with what I always wanted to do. I have always believed that setting up divisions is not enough. The future and growth in our business lies in delivering value to clients by offering seamless solutions across platforms.”
