India & #BANNER1 & # Media Exchange (IMX) has promoted Mona Jain, executive vice-president, North, IMX to head, strategic investments, India, the newly founded position within the organisation.

For the record, IMX is entrusted with the mainstream media negotiation for the clients of India's two media networks - Starcom Worldwide and ZenithOptimedia. The two networks are independent brands within Publicis Groupe's global company, VivaKi. IMX was founded in 2007.

In an official communiqué, Ravi Kiran, chief executive officer, South East & South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group, elaborates Jain's new role and responsibility, "The new position has been created to better leverage the scale represented by IMX clients, to change the nature of the conversation with media owners, and to turn the relationship with them into a long-term association of strategic importance. Historically, the interaction between buyers and media owners has been tactical and adversarial, but we wish to change that with this move."
