lifestyle magazine for men, has become a monthly from July. The Images Group launched M in May 2006 as a bi-monthly.
The magazine targets urban working men in the age group of 30 years and above. It's a premium lifestyle magazine offering varied content on fashion, lifestyle, clothing, accessories and gadgets. The circulation figure for the magazine stands at 60,000 copies.
Speaking to afaqs!, R Rajmohan, president and publisher, Images Group, says, "For the past two years the magazine has been providing engaging content on every possible subject of interest to upwardly mobile men. Feedback from readers and market evaluation convinced us that this is the right time to increase the frequency of the magazine."
He adds, "The content mix, layout and packaging of the magazine remains unchanged. Only the pace of working and the challenge of evenly spreading out interesting content for the target group (TG) will increase. Apart from that, a change has been made in the number of pages. The earlier issues were bulky, with 240-250 pages. The monthly version will have 180-190 pages. The price of the magazine has been revised and the new cover price is Rs 100 compared to Rs 75 earlier."
The Images Group carried a short advertising campaign to inform readers about the magazine becoming a monthly. Print ads appeared in select magazines such as India Today, Outlook, Tehelka and Time Out. The revised price of the magazine was underplayed in the campaign which stressed on frequent availability.
Some popular titles of the Image Group are Progressive Grocer, Images Retail, Images Business of Fashion, Shopping Centre News and Sportswear International India.
