jewellery brand Nakshatra has appointed popular actor Katrina Kaif as its new brand ambassador. Earlier in the year, the brand Nakshatra was fully acquired by the Gitanjali Group, which is into integrated diamond and jewellery manufacturing and retailing.
Katrina Kaif is currently a hot property in Bollywood with hit films such as Namaste London, Race and Welcome to her credit. She was recently snagged by mango drink brand Slice as its endorser.
Executives at the Gitanjali Group say that Kaif epitomises what Nakshatra stands for. Mehul Choksi, chairman, Gitanjali Group and Nakshatra, says, "Katrina is a representation of the young, trendy and fashionable woman whom we at Nakshatra target."
Kaif remarks, "Nakshatra has garnered immense popularity in India and worldwide. I look forward to the association."
Nakshatra as a brand has floral designs with multiple diamonds encircling a single large diamond to signify the constellation effect. Currently, it is available in three types: the Nakshatra collection, the Eternity collection and the Solitaire collection. The Nakshatra brand values include beauty, radiance, class, elegance and quality. Amongst the symbolic values are femininity, celestial splendour and mystique.

Nakshatra was launched in 2000, and for as long as one can remember, actor and model Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been endorsing it.
