DDB Mudra appoints EVP to handle Reliance ADAG

Seema Trivedi, who founded her own specialised marketing solutions firm in New York, is excited to work with DDB Mudra

Seema Trivedi has been appointed as executive vice-president at DDB Mudra, Mumbai. Trivedi will be responsible for the Reliance ADAG account.

Trivedi is an entrepreneur who founded and built 1947 Communications Inc., a specialised marketing solutions firm in New York targeting the Asian-American market, making it into a $10 million capitalized billing agency in only three years. Trivedi has more than 17 years of experience in the industry.

DDB Mudra has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Trivedi.

In an official communique, JS Mani, president and head, DDB Mudra, said, “With clients such as Reliance ADAG, Unilever and J&J, DDB Mudra needs talented people to lead our relationships with these clients. Seema brings with her the experience and business acumen that will add value to these brands.”

Trivedi said in the press release, “My immediate focus will be to ensure growth, efficiency and productivity in existing businesses. I will also to add value to DDB Mudra's initiatives in making it an industry leader in terms of work and the quality of strategic thought, response and fire power.”

Trivedi started her career with Grey Advertising in 1991, after which she moved to Ogilvy & Mather in July 1993 as account supervisor at the Bengaluru and then at London office. She also had stints with McCann Erickson Worldwide in India and Admerasia Marketing Communications in New York as brand supervisor.

Trivedi has also won the Ogilvy Advertising India First Market Intelligence award and recognition by MetLife Financial Services North America for unique contribution towards unprecedented growth in their marketing and sales targets.

She has spearheaded initiatives for her clients which include Citibank, J&J, Girl Scouts USA, Mercedes-Benz, MetLife, Direct TV and Unilever Ice Cream and Coffee.

Trivedi has an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York, a specialisation in Six Sigma from Villanova University, Pennsylvania and an MDP from IIM Bangalore.
