Reliance ADAG's Girish Shah is Super Achiever for 2008

Shah is the head of branding at Reliance and oversees the Reliance and Big brands


Shah, head, branding, Reliance ADA Group, has won the Super Achiever Award 2008 at the 7th Indira Super Achiever Awards organised by the Indira Group of Industries. The ceremony was held over the weekend in Pune. The awards honour professionals from various sectors of industry, including corporates and entrepreneurs.

Shah joined Reliance in December 2006 and started managing the corporate brand, providing strategic direction to ensure the brand identity. Later, Shah was brought on board to manage the Big brand across the entertainment vertical. He handled the marketing and launch of the super successful Reliance Power IPO.

The Reliance ADAG brand has been a hit with consumers as revealed by the Impact Buzziest Brand Survey conducted by afaqs! and The Brand Reporter. The group has moved up from No. 13 last year to No. 3 this year.

Shah has 16 years of experience and has worked with MNCs such as Johnson & Johnson, Scottish & Newcastle and the UB Group. While at the UB Group, he was responsible for the launch of Kingfisher Airlines and was promoted as head of marketing for Kingfisher Airlines.
