Publicis Ambience makes new appointments

Kartik Smetacek and Nikhil Panjwani are the new faces at the agency

There & #BANNER1 & # have been recruitments at Publicis Ambience. Kartik Smetacek has joined as senior creative director and Nikhil Panjwani as associate creative director.

Kartik Smetacek joined this week after a one year stint at Contract, where he worked on DNA Supplements and Cadbury Crunch. Prior to that, he spent nearly seven years with Rediffusion DY&R, where he worked on Colgate, Franklin Templeton and Taj Hotels. He has also worked on Airtel.

Smetacek says, "I've moved here for better growth prospects and bigger opportunities." His mandate at Publicis Ambience includes Lakmé, Westside, Akruti Builders and Capgemini.

Nikhil Panjwani, who worked at Rediffusion DY&R at the beginning of his career, joined a week ago. He has also worked with Leo Burnett and Ideas @ work. His last stint was with Young & Rubicam Kuala Lumpur as creative group head on accounts such as Colgate and OCBC Bank.

Panjwani won a silver Radio Lion for Colgate at this year's International Advertising Festival at Cannes. Other brands that he has worked on include Ceat, Reliance, the launch of BigAdda and Taj.

"I was bored in Kuala Lumpur and missed the pace of Mumbai. That's why I came back," says Panjwani.

At Publicis, he will work on Marico, Kinetic and D2H+, Videocon's DTH service.
