Isobar, the digital agency of Aegis Media took its first step in the direction of starting India operations by acquiring a stake in Communicate2
Posterscope, the out of home unit under Aegis Media, is slated to launch in India in a month's time. Recently, Ashish Bhasin was appointed to head Aegis' Southeast Asia operations as chairman, India, and chief executive officer, Southeast Asia.
When Bhasin was appointed in June, he had told afaqs! that setting up the operations for Isobar (Aegis Media's digital marketing arm) and Posterscope (the OOH arm) was top priority.
Bhasin confirms to afaqs! that Posterscope will be launched soon. "We have to make a few important appointments and we should launch Posterscope by the end of next month," says Bhasin.

This is not the first time that Posterscope will be in India. Its previous entry was through a joint venture between Aegis and Percept in 2005. However, this association ended in 2006, when Percept bought over all of Posterscope India's shares and rebranded the entity as Percept Out-of-Home.
In the international markets, Posterscope's clients include Coca-Cola, Adidas, MTV, Motorola, ING, BMW and Benetton.
In India, Carat Media, Aegis’ media communications arm, owns the media duties for Philips, ABN Amro Bank, Baderwals and the Muthoot Group.
