aMap makes three senior appointments

Joseph Eapen has been appointed director for research; Ravi Katoch, national head for client engagement; and Vitthal Sonavane, head of technology

Audience Measurement and Analytics (aMap) has made three senior appointments and expanded its top management team. It has appointed Joseph Eapen as director for research, Ravi Katoch as national head for client engagement, and Vitthal Sonavane as head of technology.

An official communiqué sent out by the company says that the three bring with them thorough knowledge and indepth domestic and international experience in audience research, brand management and technology. Their appointment will help in delivering leading cutting edge services to the media industry both in the country and across the world.

Joseph Eapen was earlier with Television Audience Measurement (TAM). He managed the first TAM operation in the Gulf for eight years. He also spearheaded the launch of TGI, a network of single source syndicated consumer surveys, in the Gulf.

Ravi Katoch has more than 13 years of experience in the FMCG sector. He has worked with Henkel India and Schwarzkopf Professional. He was responsible for setting up the distribution system for Tata Tea in Central India.

Vitthal Sonavane has worked with ITNation for eight years. He built the technology team at ITNation and enabled it to become a leading IT media house in India.

Amit Varma, chief executive officer, aMap, believes that the new team members will strengthen the company’s efforts to provide services so as to benefit the advertisers, broadcasters, media planners and buyers.
