Some of MPG's recent wins include VLCC, Carlsberg Beer, AO Smith, Ista Hotels, Manpower, Business Bhaskar and Tarz Lifestyle
Media Planning Group (MPG) India, the media buying arm of Havas Media, has added multiple clients to its roster. The new clients include VLCC, Carlsberg Beer, AO Smith, Ista Hotels, Manpower, Business Bhaskar and Tarz Lifestyle. The Ministry of Tourism's (MOT’s) international business is also one of the recent wins. The wins are distributed between its North and West zone offices.
Speaking about the development, Anita Nayyar, chief executive officer, Havas Media, says in an official communiqué, “Given the current situation and the business slowdown, wherein the advertising industry is the first to get affected, our constant endeavour to grow is helping us stay afloat. The growth from sports, entertainment, digital and activation are key contributors and I see a lot happening in these disciplines in the years to come.”

MOT had assigned its creative duties to A: Advertising (now merged with W+K) in 2007. It had entrusted the agency with the Incredible India global campaign for 2007. One may also recall MOT's much acclaimed nationwide Atithi Devo Bhavah campaign.
The other significant wins for MPG over recent months include Business Bhaskar, Vandana Luthra Curls & Curves (VLCC), Carlsberg Beer, Ista Hotels and Tarz Lifestyle. Business Bhaskar is the Hindi business daily from the Dainik Bhaskar Group, the creatives for which are handled by Euro RSCG.
Equus Red Cell handles the creative duties for VLCC. 141 Sercon had bagged all the activities related to the brand's customer relationship management (CRM) programme in May 2008.
Danish beer major Carlsberg entered the Indian market through a joint venture company, South Asian Breweries, and hired Lowe as its creative agency. Initiative, Lowe's media arm, had bagged the media duties then.
Ista Hotels is a chain of luxury five star hotels and spas, while Tarz Lifestyle is credited with bringing premium luxury brands such as CK, Tiffany, D&G and Davidoff into the country.
