Zoom TV uses digital media for Bollywood Club

The channel is using YouTube.com and its recently launched voice portal to get entries for its reality show, Idea Bollywood Club

Zoom TV recently started a talent hunt show called Idea Bollywood Club, which provides a platform for individuals to showcase their respective talents as writers, actors, singers or comedians and get offers from the judges to work in the Hindi film industry.

To get suitable participants for the show, the channel is using social media and its recently launched voice portal to generate entries and get work portfolios of interested participants. It has started a special channel, called Bollywood Club, on YouTube.com, a video sharing site. Individuals interested in participating in Idea Bollywood Club are required to shoot a 10 minute video clip of themselves and submit it on the site. Currently, the channel on YouTube has 33 videos and 153 subscribers.

There are plans to use YouTube to showcase the edited videos of the show, too.

Apart from getting entries for the show, we are using the portal to offer Bollywood and entertainment news and interviews.”

The TV channel has also created a community on LiveJournal, a blogging platform, which will enable participants to talk about their talents and share their experiences of the show.

Entries received through YouTube and the voice portal will be checked by experts at Zoom TV. The selected participants will be allowed to showcase their talents during the show.
