MySpace is now home to Nach Baliye 4

The reality show is hosting its official site on MySpace and will also make it a platform for online voting

MySpace has tied up with STAR TV to create a community for the fourth season of its dance reality show, Nach Baliye. The show kicked off on Friday and features Hindi film actors Karisma Kapur and Arjun Rampal and director-choreographer Farah Khan as judges.

The MySpace community at www.myspace.com/nb is the official address of the TV show and provides visitors information on the show, its contestants and judges.

Each of the celebrities has their own profile page and MySpace users can add them as friends on their list. They also have their blogs on which users can comment. Also, for the first time, viewers of the show will be able to vote for their favourite 'jodis' (couples) through the MySpace site, apart from SMS voting.

Speaking to afaqs!, Deep Malhotra, director, sales and business development, MySpace India, says, "We have been talking to a couple of media channels for integration (with their shows). We think this is a good fit because Nach Baliye is a popular celebrity dance show and MySpace is a platform for showcasing creative talent." He adds that the MySpace community adds a dimension of creativity to the show.

The site will host exclusive videos and photos from the show. It will also have a game where users can bet on which couple will be eliminated each week, using virtual money.

STAR TV will be quoting the site in all its promotions for the show and also during the show. Malhotra adds that the individual URLs of the judges and contestants will be flashed as well.

Globally, MySpace had 114 million unique visitors in May. Malhotra did not share the India figures, but said that it's growing 30 per cent month on month.
