Webchutney appoints Vibha Gosher vice-president

Gosher moves from Yahoo! India, where she worked as head of the creative team for four years

Webchutney, the digital agency backed by investments from Capital18, Network18’s private equity arm, has appointed Vibha Gosher vice-president for its Mumbai operations.

Gosher moves from Yahoo! India, where she has worked as head of the creative team for four years. She will report to Sidharth Rao, chief executive officer, Webchutney.

Speaking to afaqs!, Gosher says, “I will be running the Mumbai operations of Webchutney and work towards growing it and getting more clients on board.”

Gosher has around 10 years of experience across advertising, TV and Internet companies. She passed out from the Sir JJ School of Applied Arts in 1997 and then did her Master’s in packaging design from the Pratt Institute in New York.

She joined O&M in 1998 as a visualiser and designed the packaging material for brands such as Lakme, Ponds and Cadbury. In 1999, she moved to Channel V and worked there as art director for Vindia.com, Channel V’s website.

In 2000, she moved to Contests2Win.com, where she managed the entire design team of Contest2Win.com and Mobile2win.com. She moved to Yahoo! India in 2004.

In an official communiqué, Rao says, “We are thrilled to have a digital veteran like Vibha to help accelerate the growth of our Mumbai operations.”

Rao adds, “Vibha’s creative and strategy skills will help sharpen Webchutney’s commitment towards our clients. Her past experience clearly outlines her ability to thrive and succeed in every form of digital media, including content and advergaming.”
