Mirchi's Mumbai marketing team has a new head, with Vikram Ahuja moving from Delhi to take up the position. Earlier, Ahuja was marketing head for the FM station in Delhi.
Ahuja has work experience of about seven years and has also worked in brand management, new media, research, creative operations, business development and strategising. He started off at FCB Ulka Chennai and worked there for two years, handling clients such as Club Mahindra and Marco.
Ahuja adds, "We worked tirelessly to tie up on-ground networks and strategic partnerships, which eventually helped us gain a foothold in that market."
After his stint with Radio Mirchi in Chennai, Ahuja went to the US to do his Master's in entertainment industry management. While there, he worked in a couple of jobs as intern and consultant, but returned to Delhi to join Radio Mirchi's Delhi marketing team.
In his new role now, Ahuja will focus on marketing initiatives that will add to Radio Mirchi's brand value in Mumbai. "My aim is to increase Mirchi's market share in Mumbai," he says. He will take over the responsibility of strategising and directing his team to drive in more revenue and thus increase Radio Mirchi's market share.
