7 Seas Media wins rights for Mumbai stations

The outdoor media company has won the exclusive marketing rights for ad displays at four high density railway stations

Outdoor media company 7 Seas Media, set up in 2007, recently bagged the sole advertising rights for four stations along the Western line of the Mumbai suburban railway. The stations are Churchgate, Marine Lines, Charni Road and Grant Road.

Jagjit Singh Nain, managing director, 7 Seas Media, confirms the news to afaqs!, saying, “We won the exclusive advertising rights for all the properties at these four stations in October.”

Initially, the rights have been acquired for a period of less than a year, but the contract period may be extended. While media reports have said that the rights have been won for Rs 10.5 crore, a company spokesperson denied this, but refused to reveal the winning bid amount.

7 Seas Media now holds the rights to all the properties at the four stations, including backlit, non-lit signs, glow boards and kiosks on the platforms, at ticket counters and at the entrances and exits of the stations. The company is offering these properties as assured eyeball catchers as all four stations see heavy footfalls every day, situated as they are in the city’s commercial district.

For the record, 7 Seas Media is headquartered in Gurgaon and has outdoor properties in Faridabad, Gurgaon, Delhi and Mumbai. It operates in formats such as unipoles, billboards, bus queue shelters, traffic booths and traffic posts.
