Insurance Company (NIC), one of the leading public sector non-life insurance companies in India, has appointed Grey, Kolkata as its creative partner. The agency won the business following a multi-agency pitch.

With a consideration of a 360 degree communication, the brand is looking at pumping in about Rs 25 crore for its advertising and marketing activities. The Kolkata based insurance player will use television, print and radio from the traditional media segment. It is also looking at a comprehensive rural communication.

Talking about the win, Suparna Mucadum, branch head, Grey, Kolkata, tells afaqs!, "We won the pitch on the basis of the holistic approach towards the brand. We went beyond the tender presentation that each of the agencies were supposed to make, and submitted a strategic presentation marking out how the company could progress in a dynamic environment such as the one that we are in now."

NIC has a network of about 1,000 offices and a human resource set up consisting of about 16,000 skilled personnel spread across the country covering remote rural areas, townships and metropolitan cities. NIC's foreign operations are carried out from its branch offices in Nepal and Hong Kong.
