A couple of senior management changes have been made in Showdiff and Rediffusion Y&R Public Relations, the agency’s event management and PR arms, respectively
Since the past year, Rediffusion Y&R has been effecting radical changes in its organisation – from restructuring the senior management team to changing its name (it was earlier known as Rediffusion DY&R).
Now, yet another restructuring has been implemented at a senior level. Lokesh Tiwary, who was, until recently, the president of Rediffusion Y&R Public Relations, has been given additional responsibility as chief operating officer of Showdiff, the event management arm of Rediffusion Y&R.
Conrad Saldanha, the current chief executive officer of Showdiff Worldwide, will move on to a newly created corporate role, in which he will lead external affairs and communications for the Rediffusion Y&R group companies.
In an official communiqué, Saldanha says, “I look forward to sharing the valuable insights into the Rediffusion Group acquired during my 25+ years in the organisation and help as best as I can to fulfil its goals.”
Announcing the appointment, Mahesh Chauhan, group chief executive officer, Rediffusion Y&R, says, “We are looking toward reorienting and restructuring our businesses. Conrad, with his networking skills and indepth understanding of the industry, is a perfect fit for external affairs. And Lokesh’s dual charge is in sync with our endeavour to provide a collaborative communication platform to our clients that will increasingly seek to utilise the synergies between public relations and activation.”
In an industry that is extremely fragmented, Rediffusion Y&R has announced a spate of initiatives recently, all of which are aimed at consolidation. Its newest move has been to bring together its public relations and activation/event management functions. The underlining message is a transformation into a holistic partner for all client communications needs.
