Satyanarayana says that the club will focus on the youth and the digital medium because the future lies in these
K Satyanarayana (popularly known as Satya) has been appointed president of the Advertising Club of Hyderabad (ACH). Satya replaces A Narasimhan, vice-president, Lanco Infratech. Satya has been treasurer of the ACH for the past two years.
Satya has been associated with the ACH since 1991 and has held various positions in the body over the years, including those of executive member, secretary and vice-president. He was a part of the core team which conceptualised Ad Scans – a national convention on advertising initiated by the ACH – in 1992 and 1996.
In a conversation with afaqs!, Satya says, “We intend to engage the youth, particularly students, by organising guest lectures and workshops on the digital medium. It is a very innovative medium and we want to introduce people to it.”
PK Sahgal, brand service director at Lowe, has been elected secretary of the ACH and Nitin Mulay, general manager at OTS Advertising, treasurer.
