TBWA India has brought Mithun Roy on board in the role of vice-president, client servicing. Roy will head a group at TBWA Mumbai. Roy comes to TBWA from Grey Worldwide, where she was responsible for brands such as Pantene, Bharti Axa, Sara Lee and Parlé G.

She started her career in 1994 as a market researcher with IMRB, after which she shifted to advertising with a stint at Draft FCB Ulka. During her 11-year career, Roy has also worked at O&M and Orchard.

Madan Mohan, chief operating officer, TBWA India, West, tells afaqs!, "Mithun had all the right qualities and the requisite experience in handling various brands."

Roy says, "TBWA is an agency with a vision for discontinuous change. I am looking forward to being a part of their team of change agents." She adds that she has “a two pronged agenda” in her new position – to promote organic growth and to work on new businesses.

Roy will be responsible for a set of brands, which includes Visa, Nivea, SET Max and Samsonite. She will have to take these brands forward and chart out a strategic outline for them.

Recently, TBWA India won the creative duties for Nissan. The agency’s client roster also features Standard Chartered Bank, Bajaj Allianz, Adidas, Playstation, Planet M, GE Money Wizard, Tata Gold Plus, Polaris, Dabur Consumer Care, Procall, Apple Computer, Pedigree, Michelin, National Geographic/History Channel, Henkel, Malayala Manorama, Zandu, MasterFoods and SIA.
