Fever FM official radio partner for Delhi Daredevils

After having a common tie up last year, Fever FM has been announced the official radio partner for the second edition of IPL

With the second edition of the DLF Indian Premier League (IPL) scheduled to begin in a couple of months, the franchisees are in the process of tying up with various partners. The Delhi Daredevils has announced Fever FM as its official radio partner for the upcoming season.

The radio operator had collaborated with the Delhi team during the inaugural edition of the IPL, though it was not exclusive as Radio Mirchi also had a similar tie up. This time, however, it is a different scenario altogether.

Speaking to afaqs! on the development, Neeraj Chaturvedi, station head, Delhi, Fever 104 FM, says, “Since we are the exclusive partner, it gives us an opportunity to give our listeners a heady experience of the Daredevils and an access which will be unrivalled for the supporters of the home team.”

In the previous edition, Fever FM gave its listeners various opportunities to get up close with the Delhi team. It included leading the team onto the playing field, winning official merchandise and match tickets, listening to players co-hosting shows, getting a chance to see practice sessions and a chance to have cricketers come and meet them at their homes. The last innovation ensured that the homes visited by the cricketers were the most sought after in the locality during the visit.

Listeners were also asked to pen down songs in support of the team. People could send in their entries and the chosen ones included songs such as Captain's Knock and Daredevils Lalkaar.

Chaturvedi informs that the previous edition's innovations will be included along with new ones for this season and the Daredevils fever will be maintained both pre and post the second edition of the IPL tournament.

The station has not finalised its IPL package yet. However, it claims that it is ready to 'surprise' its listeners at the opportune time.
