The food and beverages marketers last week conquered the hearts of consumers with grand offers. The consumer durables and the service industry marketers too were not far behind in wooing consumers

The food and beverages marketers were in a mad rush to reach out to the consumers. With cola drinks marketers dominating the market with promos, Rasna, too was edging its way through with an exiting offer. The consumer got a 1-lt pouch of Rasna International free on buying a 500-gm Rasna International Jar. This limited stock offer is valid in Delhi only. Limca had a catchy offer for consumers under the ‘Limca Dhan-a-Dhan' offer. These included 60 prizes of 1-gm of gold, 157 prizes of 5-gm of gold, 87 prizes of 10-gms of gold, three prizes of 20-gms of gold and much more. All these prizes were availed of with the purchase of a 300-ml Limca bottle. This promotion is valid in select cities only and till April 15, 2001.

While Rasna was tempting Delhi-ites, Coca-Cola was luring the residents of Kolkata with its ‘Single glass double Coke' promo. On buying a fountain cup of Coca-Cola and returning the empty glass, the consumer got a free refill. This scheme was applicable on Thums Up, Limca, Fanta and Sprite as well.

Pizza Corner was hung up on pulling the Delhi crowd to its outlets with delicious offers. Pizza lovers could save Rs 38 on an offer, wherein they had to pay Rs 99 for a regular veg pizza with garlic bread and a coke mobile. Similarly, on ordering a regular salami pizza with garlic bread a coke mobile for Rs 199, the buyer saved Rs 38. In another offer, on ordering a large vegetarian feast pizza with cheese garlic bread and two coke mobiles for Rs 239, the buyer saved Rs 76. Again the buyer had the chance to save Rs 76 on ordering a large chicken supreme pizza with cheese garlic bread and two coke mobiles for Rs 279. These offers are valid till April 30, 2001.

Kissan had a hot offer for Delhi-ites. On buying a 1-kg bottle of Kissan Tom Tom, the consumer got a 200-gm bottle of Kissan Tom Pataka worth Rs 25 free. This is a limited-stock offer.

The service industry had limited, but interesting offers. As part of the joint offer from Indian Airlines and American Express, travellers could avail of fantastic travel options. The exciting prizes were 100 free return tickets to any domestic destination of their choice, holiday packages at Leela Resorts and a free enrolment into the Flying Returns frequent flyer program, which is otherwise worth Rs 1,000. To claim the prizes, the customers had to apply for the Indian Airlines American Express card. This offer is valid in select cities only till July 31, 2001.

SOTC hooked travel enthusiasts with a wonderful chance to escape the blazing Indian summers. On booking any SOTC tour this summer, the customer got a five-days free holidays to any foreign destination. By applying for the Citibank credit card, the customer had the chance to avail of umpteen offers from Citibank. These included fabulous discounts, prizes worth Rs 12,00,000 and easy finance options on durables. This offer is valid in Ahmedabad and Gandhi Nagar.

There were interesting offers from durables marketers also. On the purchase of any of the LG products, consumers had the chance to win exotic holiday packages or designer jewellery. This promo is valid in select cities only. Through the ‘Kelvinator mega exchange' offer, homemakers had the option of buying a new Kelvinator refrigerator by exchanging an old refrigerator and availing of the attractive finance schemes offered by the company. This limited-stock offer is valid in select cities only.

Last week, Philips had some interesting offers for the residents of West Bengal. With the purchase of a Philips music system, consumers got one video CD and an MP3 CD free. In the other offer, on buying select models of Philips music system, the buyer got an MP3 CD with 75 songs free. This promo is valid in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon and Meerut.

Sony through its ‘Special Price' offer was giving the Sony MHC-GX2000 music system for Rs 14,990 along with a lot of goodies. These were five Sony music CDs (worth more than Rs 15,00) plus a designer CD rack (capacity: 50 CDs) worth Rs 750 for free. This limited-stock offer is only for the residents of Kolkata.

There were only a handful of offers from office stationary, household durables and apparel marketers. Consumers got a free Integra watch with the purchase of an original HP inkjet cartridge. In the other offer, on buying an original HP laserjet cartridge, the buyer got a free Duracell flashlight. This limited stock offer is valid in Mumbai only. Through the ‘Soft & Glo' offer, Pearlpet was grabbing the attention of consumer with interesting offers. On buying a pack of four Pearlpet bottles, she got the Rasna pack free. In the second offer, with the purchase a pack of six Pearlpet bottles, the consumer got a Robin Sunglo for free. This limited-stock offer is valid in select cities only.

Peter England, through the ‘Steal Bag;' offer was giving an international quality travel bag worth Rs 350 free with every two shirts bought. This limited-stock offer is valid in Delhi only.
