Mudra Connext appoints Pradeep Ramakrishnan as national strategic planning head

Pradeep Ramakrishnan is the new vice-president and national planning strategic head for the specialised arm of Mudra Max, Mudra's media agency

Mudra Connext, the specialised media arm of Mudra Max, the media agency of the Mudra Group has appointed Pradeep Ramakrishnan as its vice-president and national strategic planning head. He will be based out of Delhi and will report to Manas Mishra.

Ramakrishnan's appointment comes soon after Sandeep Goel joined Mudra Connext as vice-president and branch head, Delhi, early this month.

Announcing the appointment, Manas Mishra, executive vice-president and country head, Connext says, “Pradeep comes in at a time when we are getting ready to chart a new course. He will be our key resource in the pursuit of providing business solutions to our clients through media. His varied experience across categories and geographies will also help.”

Commenting on his new role, Ramakrishnan says, “I am looking forward to helping clients connect with consumers more powerfully, and thus, ensure that in the years to come, 'Team Connext' becomes a force to reckon with.”

He will be responsible for product development as well as research training development on a national level, among other things.

An alumnus of the first batch of MICA, Ramakrishnan has over 12 years of experience in media. He began his career in 1996 with Ogilvy & Mather. In 2003, he moved to Mindshare Delhi, where he looked after the GSK business. In 2004, he moved to Singapore and worked with organisations such as Universal McCann and Zenith Optimedia, where he was responsible for driving consumer connect planning, as well as managing clients locally and regionally. In 2007, he moved to OMD Dubai as its regional director, after which he made his present move.

He has worked across a range of clients and brands, including Unilever, Nestlé, GSK, Pepsi, L’Oreal, J&J, SAP, Titan, Madura Garments and Fidelity. He also holds a degree in media management from Syracuse University where he worked with Prof John Philip Jones.

For the record, Mudra Max consists of two independent media agencies – Connext and Radar. Mudra Connext provides advanced business solutions through media. Its focus is to leverage the convergence of media to effectively deliver integrated and innovative media solutions. The agency has operations in six cities and team strength of over 70 people. Its clients include Jyothy Laboratories, ICI Paints, Apollo DKV, Amway, ACC Cement, HBO, TTK Prestige, Yatra.com and Sobha Developers.

On the other hand, Radar is an integrated media services agency providing customised solutions to all the Reliance ADAG companies.
